wishes

"Wall of wishes" by Gordon Young
"Visual artist Gordon Young was invited to create a work that captured the spirit of the Bristol Brunel Academy and its students. During workshops with school children, Gordon was inspired by one of the student’s accounts of her favourite film, Roman Holiday which directly led to the idea of a ‘wall of wishes’. All those involved in the school, from pupils and teachers to cooks, cleaners and builders were invited to dream up wishes which were then carved individually onto slabs of marble and installed floor to ceiling in the entrance atrium. Ranging from unashamed wishes for material objects to poignant emotional pleas this work harnesses the dreams and aspirations of the school and its community."

If you had one wish, what would it be?
 ...choose carefully...
because thoughts are primary couse of everything
and the rest is effect from those thoughts.

healthy?

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
 (WHO definition of health)

स्वस्थ
The Sanskrit word for healthy is 'svastha'.
'Swa' means one's own self
'Stha' means being/abiding/establishment.
It literally means self-positioned, that is, one who is centered in Self, the natural state.

To be svastha is to be established in yourself. Only somebody who is well-established in himself will be able to radiate that joy and enthusiasm that we recognise when we see health.

To be healthy means being in balance within our Self, knowing our own mind, knowing the weaknesses of our own body, doing what is right and being happy with our life.

(olan rei)

Every human being
is the author of his own health or disease.

are you a dreamer?

"The worst mistake that you can make is to think you're alive when really you're asleep in life's waiting room."

"They say that dreams are only real as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same thing about life?"

the hidden language of the soul

“Dancing: The vertical expression of a horizontal desire legalized by music.”
(George Bernard Shaw)

To dance is to be out of yourself.  Larger, more beautiful, more powerful.
(Agnes De Mille)

I would believe only in a God that knows how to dance.
(Friedrich Nietzsche)

Dancing in all its forms cannot be excluded from the curriculum of all noble education; dancing with the feet, with ideas, with words, and, need I add that one must also be able to dance with the pen?
(Friedrich Nietzsche)

A Passion for Light

Stunning Light installations by Bruce Munro

"When I was eighteen years old I came to a profound realisation that ‘life’ was in a continuous state of movement and it was pointless trying to control it too much.
Since then, a respect for the principle of change has given me a degree of confidence with which to explore my life.
I was interested in ‘light’ as a medium at Art School; but it was in my mid twenties that I started to work and experiment with light in a formal sense."
(Bruce Munro)
